We often see online suggestions to book your florist six months in advance. This might sometimes work if the florist you want happens to be free, or if it's an unusual time of year or day of the week. It is very common, however, for most wedding vendors, including florists, to fill up their calendar 12-18 months in advance.
If you are getting married in a peak time (Spring-Fall), it is vital that you contact the florist you are interested in as early as possible. The same is true for all of your vendors. Don't wait! Contact your vendors and secure them with a deposit/contract as soon as you can...if you hesitate your dream vendor might slip away.
